PROGRAM: Drive to Elbląg – one of the oldest cities in the Żuławy Wiślane. Walk through streets of the city. Drive to Frombork and visit at the cathedral hill, the resting place of Nicolas Copernicus. This eminent scholar, born in the city of Toruń, lived and worked in Frombork for over twenty years. The place of the great astronomer’s burial was located only a few years ago. The tower at the top of which which Copernicus has built an observatory has also been preserved. For those interested, there is a possibility to visit the top of the bell tower which allows to enjoy a view of the city skyline and the waters of the Vistula Lagoon.After leaving the cathedral hill, you will visit the monument of Copernicus, the city guard tower, and the memorial stone commemorating the death of German civilians from the areas of former East Prussia. The final element of the program will be a walk through the Frombork port.
